Cheap Sensationalism by Journalists

As many of you know, we have numerous business interests. They include my obgyn business of course, as well as the Risqueevents ticketing site and our events including Cirlesque. We also help run the Fetish Ball with Glen as our business partner and I am also in partnership with Venus Starr for the Dark Starr Inked Models pageants. Following our commencement of business with Venus Storm which was to produce and sell her promotional material, she started Starrstrippers a website for hiring entertainment for hens and stag partys, and more recently the Wild Storm Male review touring the country. We are not in partnership with her for Wild Storm, which is her own event, however she does sell tickets to this through our ticketing website, Risqueevents.

Our involvement in the fetish ball is totally limited to administrative tasks.

I also run a website design business A1dezine Limited and a graphic design/video production business at this stage solely dedicated to making educational videos for my patients. We ran the Netball 5’s tournament as well. We became involved in event management when we started running the masquerade ball over a decade ago.

We have in the past been in partnership with Sophia Lee where we ran the Living Dolls show.

As many of you are aware, I can’t sit still and I do need to be doing something else. I returned to university and did computer programming and now run all our servers myself. I also returned to university and did Media studies, with small studio production and video production and edit a lot of our footage myself.

Which brings me to today’s topic.

I have never hidden the fact that we run these various companies. This is adequately demonstated on my post on this blog from 2012, About me. I have however not deemed it necessary for my patients to be aware of this. It has no bearing on their management or their care. However many patients in the alternative lifestyles do choose to see me as they know that they will not be judged because of the lifestyle choices they have made.

A journalist however discovered, that I am involved with the event. She must have envisaged significant sensationalism from disclosing this fact, however that was removed when I openly disclosed that I did help run these events. She has therefore followed another tack.

According to the journalist, all the above businesses were registered to our office address at 83B Tristram St, Hamilton. I went to the companies office to try and change the addresses but found that this was a lie. Neither the Fetish Ball nor Starr Enterprises are registered to the above address.

The premises at 83B Tristram St, house a website development business, a physiotherapist, The Womens Health Centre, a Womens Gymnasium and Furniture Zone. No business related to Glens business or Venus’s Starr’s businesses are conducted from these premises. Nothing related to these businesses are stored on these premises. This address is not listed on any advertising or the websites as being associated with Glen or Venus’s businesses.

The reported raised concerns “over the lack of boundaries between your businesses -The Fetish Ball and Risque events- and your private gynaecological practice which all publicly share the business address 83B Tristram St.”

The reporter alleges that she rung the office and specifically asked to speak to someone from the Fetish ball. My receptionist denies ever receiving this call. No one else at the office answers the Womens Health Centre phone.

The number at my office is not advertised anywhere as related to the fetishball.

Risqueevents and Cirlesque are run from the Web development office at these premises. The Fetish Ball and Starr Enterprises are not.

Hopefully most people will see this for what it is. A blatant attempt at sensationalism and an attempt to try to smear me.
